How to Delete All Your Google Web History

We all know that a web browser records each link of the webpage that we visited on or search. But very few of us know that Google also records each and every step be taken or each and every keyword or phrase we search on/through Google Search.
Here I don’t say that Google records our activities for any wrong purpose but in future it can be used against us. Later in this post I will explain you that why Google records your activity on web and how can you delete this recorded history.



Why Google Stores Your Web History ?

As you already know that, Google is the No.1 search engine in the world.
Do you know why it is so..? It’s because it provides best search experience, it has the answer of almost all your questions etc.
For providing the best, smart and fast browsing experience Google keeps their Hidden-Eye on you i.e., Everything you do is recorded, and can be used against you in the future.

 A Search data can reveal particularly sensitive information about you, such as facts about your location, interests, age, religious views, what type of information you searched frequently, what type of video or files or audios etc. you downloaded, in what website you log in and so on. However, you can choose to not be so vulnerable means you can remove all your Google web history to protect yourself from vulnerability.
 Now I am going to show you that how to delete your entire Google web history”.
But before we begin, please note that as I said earlier that Google use this history for making your browsing and search experience better and fast, that is… Google keeps a lot of useful information that helps you find what ‘you're looking for’ faster, gives you quick access to webpages you've visited in the past, and even gives you a hint that what site you already visited. This information can be very useful if you're a Power User, and like to get things done quickly.

Follow below listed steps to delete all your Google Web History.

  • Step 1: Visit your Google History page at https://history.google.com/. It will ask you to log-in into Gmail account…so now just enter your Google (Gmail) Id and password.
  • Step 2: Now you can see your recorded web history. You can delete a single entry as well as Entire history at once.
    For Removing a single Entry
    Just mark the check box preceding the entry you want to delete and then click on the remove items button.(as shown in image)

    For Deleting Entire history at Once
     Click on the gear icon on the top right corner or the webpage, and then go to Settings.

     Click on ‘delete all’ link.

    You'll prompted for a confirmation. Click on Delete all again, that’s all..!!  Your entire search history is gone!


Stop Google to Storing your history [Optional]

As you can see a Turn Off button in 2nd step of deleting entire history,Click on that ‘Turn off’ button on the Settings page to stop Google from storing your history again.
Note:-You can repeat these steps for your different Google accounts [if you have more than one account].
