GglDriveGoogle is the largest search engine and the biggest online network which provides us so many features & services like Gmail, Google+, Blogger, and YouTube etc .Now recently Google has introduced a new feature named  Google Drive. It’s just like a web hosting/cloud hosting account where we can store our files. Google gives us 5GB Free space to upload anything on their servers for free and we can also use that space to make host websites on Google Drive for free but it only supports HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Here I am going to listing the steps to host a website on Google Drive for Free.

Step 1 : Go to, now enter you Gmail id details (Because it you can directly access Google Drive with your existing Gmail account)

Step 2 :Now we have to make an folder (in which we will stored our HTML/CSS/JavaScript pages). For Creating a Folder Click on the Create button at the left side toolbar then click on Folder (as shown in picture) then a type a name for your folder.
Step 3 : Now Right Click on the Folder icon (which we just created in previous step)then click on Details.

Step 4 : Now a new window pops up at the Bottom right corner of the we have to edit the Sharing just click on the edit icon as shown in picture.

Step 5 : Now mark the field "Public on the web" and set Access permissions to "Anyone-no signup required"

Step 6 : Now we need to upload our HTML/CSS/JavaScript files to this Folder.
For Upload Files
Click on the upload Button adjacent to Create button.then click on Files.

Step7:Now you can simply access your files as you access on your system i.e., just go to the Folder and open your File. You can preview your HTML File(output) as well as the Code.
Now you can Simply Copy the link of your page and share it with your Friends
Remember it also works on HTTPS so it’s an great free service by Google Drive :).

You can also use to shorten your Google Drive URL

  1. thanks for the useful information..

  2. Thanks for sharing this nice post. Google seems to be doing everything these days, it is not surprising that the Internet giant has developed online storage and synchronization. Now it becomes easy to save and share files through Google Gmail Drive.

    1. You are welcome Julia..!

      --Keep Visiting--

  3. I am wondering if this will support my website forever or it is just a short time solution. Google have shut down free business services, don't think we should go for web hosting from them.

  4. I must thank you for the efforts you’ve put in penning this website. I am hoping to view the same high-grade content from you later on as well. Please keep us up to date like this.
    Thank you for sharing.
